Yervand Margaryan

Trumpet & Jazz Educator

The Trumpet Artist of famous brand “Taylor Trumpets” Yervand Margaryan was born on May 23, 1977 in Tbilisi (Georgia).Graduated from the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (class of professor Yuri Balyan) in 2001. Yervand Margaryan is a jazz and classical solo and clinician educator of trumpet. Starting from 1997 he worked in various orchestras, such as Yerevan Orchestra of Opera and Ballet, State Estrade- Symphonic Orchestra of Television and Radio, Yerevan Symphonic Orchestra. He also has performed as a soloist in symphonic concerts.

In 2001 he was invited to be the soloist and lead trumpet player in the Armenian Jazz Band. In parallel he has performed and recorded as a soloist in various jazz and pop projects in Armenia, as well as abroad. He has performed with such artists as:

also with the orchestras such Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (London), Imperial Orchestra ( Russia), Puccini Orchestra ( Italy) and others in more than 60 countries of the world.

In 2010 along his pianist wife, Nara Arakelyan, he created "Con Alma" band, which they frequently perform in Armenia, as well as well as abroad with concerts and in jazz festivals. They perform classic and jazz music in all the different styles. They also perform a lot of their own original compositions. In 2016 "Con Alma" was found the best band of Armenia.

In 2014 Yervand Margaryan was awarded the medal and title of an honorary artist of the city of Yerevan. Currently Yervand Margaryan continues performing and recording in various international musical projects.

In 2021 he was invited to become a member and performer of official group of EXPO 2020 in Dubai “Exposonix” Band!

In 2022, for outstanding musical achievements, he was awarded a Golden Visa by the Ministry of Culture of the UAE after which he decided to stay in the UAE and devote himself to performing and the development of music education. Many of his students from Armenia and abroad are winners of prestigious international competitions, as well as leading musicians in symphony and jazz orchestras of different countries!

Yervand Margaryan currently lives in UAE is collaborating with many international artists in different project and is a member of Dubai Big Band.
