Bristol based Jonny Bruce is one of the most in demand trumpet players on the scene today. Working as both a soloist and a lead player in a variety of musical contexts, Jonny has received much critical acclaim for his fiery trumpet work.

Aside from being the featured soloist with Moscow Drug Club, Jonny has played with Bobby Shew, Fred Wesley, Pee Wee Ellis, Dave Stapleton Quintet, Art Themen, Abstract Orchestra, Pete Long Big Band, Glenn Miller Orchestra UK, Chris Barber, The Wailers, McFly, Roni Size, Hamish Stewart, Kelis, Brass Junkies, Jacqui Dankworth, Andy Sheppard, Lillian Boutte, Dave Newton, Dockside Latin Orchestra, Henry Fiol, Roberto Pla, Emma Smith, Clare Martin, Clare Teal, Ian Shaw, Laurence Cottle, London Swing Orchestra, Emma Bunton, The Heavy, Moonlight Serenade Orchestra UK, Tina May, Dean Z, Illa J and many more. His trumpet has seen him perform at venues from Ronnie Scott's to the Royal Albert Hall and festivals across Europe with many greats from a variety of genres.

A graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Jonny is a passionate educator, the Musical Director of the Bristol Community Big Band, a private tutor (now also teaching online) and has been a tutor on many workshops and delivered many masterclasses. A huge back catalogue of session credits for film and TV, most recently his trumpet has been featured on the BBC drama series The Outlaws.
